Account Guides

How your Adergy account works. Pick the guide that matches your account.

Signing in#

This part applies to every kind of account, so it's covered here once instead of in each guide.

You sign in with a username, not an email address

Email is optional on this system, and several accounts can share one address, so your username is what identifies your account. If you don't know it, your account manager can tell you.

If you've forgotten your password

Forgot password? on the sign-in page asks for two things: your username and the email address on file for that account. The username says which account to reset, and the email confirms you already know the address it's registered to.

The confirmation message is always the same

You'll see the same message, “if those details match an account, a password reset link is on its way”, whether or not the details actually matched.

That means a typo looks exactly like success. If nothing arrives, check the spelling of your username and confirm the address on file with your account manager.

The reset email names the account it's for (“this link resets the password for the account afi0780”). When several logins share an inbox, that's how you tell which one it belongs to.

Keeping your account up to date#

Update Account at the top right of any dashboard screen is where you change your phone number, your email address, and your password.

A new password needs at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, and a number. You'll also be asked for your current password to confirm the change.

Why the email address matters

Notifications about ad submissions, vendor requests and reservation decisions all go out by email, and they're skipped for any account with no address on file. That's what the missing-email banner on your dashboard means. The account still works; it just isn't being told about anything.

Who to ask#

Every store and group has an account manager at Adergy. Their name and contact details are on your dashboard home page, and the Contact tab in your sidebar sends them a message and keeps the thread.

Anything these guides describe as “a setting on your account” is something your account manager can change for you. That includes which store ordering belongs to, and whether a group handles DSD approvals.
